5. Electricity: how to prepare your hot tub's connection
A well-prepared electrical installation, to fully enjoy your hot tub from the day it is switched on!
Plug & Play version: enjoy a simplified connection to a suitable, safe socket fitted with residual-current protection that meets the manufacturer's requirements.
Other versions: our hot tubs are delivered set up for 400 V three-phase, but can also run on 230 V single-phase thanks to an electrical bridge made by a qualified professional, following the manufacturer's recommendations.
For a single-phase installation, the equipment usually recommended is:
- a 3G6 mm² electrical cable;
- a dedicated circuit, connected directly to your home's consumer unit;
- a 32 A circuit breaker, combined with a 30 mA residual-current device;
- a direct connection of the cable into the hot tub's control unit, without an intermediate socket.
Important: the electrical cable between your home and your hot tub must be laid and connected by a qualified electrician, who will check that the installation complies and adapt the protections to the model.
Do you have a three-phase supply? Your hot tub can keep its original configuration, with suitable wiring and protections.

An inflatable hot tub costs less and folds flat, but it insulates poorly, massages mainly with air bubbles and often has to be emptied when it freezes.
